Ikorodu City, Enyimba Battle to a Draw as Remo Stars Triumph Over Heartland

 

Remo Stars Strengthen Title Bid as Enyimba, Ikorodu City Play to a Thriller

Remo Stars continued their march toward a maiden Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title with a solid 2-0 victory over Heartland in Ikenne on Sunday.

Olamilekan Adedayo opened the scoring in the 31st minute, while Samson Olasupo sealed the win with a late goal, ensuring Daniel Ogunmodede’s side remained on top of the table with 57 points from 29 matches.

Elsewhere, at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos, Ikorodu City and Enyimba played out a pulsating 2-2 draw.

Tosin Oyedokun put Ikorodu City ahead just before halftime, but Enyimba responded through Mojeeb Odufeso in the 66th minute. Joseph Atule gave the visitors the lead with 13 minutes left, only for Ayomide Cole to rescue a point for Ikorodu City with a dramatic stoppage-time equalizer.
