Ekiti Queens, Adamawa Queens Granted Approval for Fresh NWFL Venues
With the 2024/2025 NWFL Premiership set to restart on March 19 after a two-week pause, the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) has announced venue changes for two crucial fixtures.
In a statement signed by NWFL Chief Operating Officer Modupe Shabi, Ekiti Queens FC’s highly anticipated showdown with Edo Queens FC has been moved from Oluyemi Kayode Stadium in Ado-Ekiti to Ilorin Township Stadium due to ongoing renovations. The match will now take place on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at 3:00 PM.
Meanwhile, Adamawa Queens FC will complete their home fixtures at Makhwada Stadium in Numan, Adamawa State, for the rest of the season. Their first game at the new venue is set for March 19 against Rivers Angels.
The NWFL highlighted that these adjustments were necessary to maintain match standards and safeguard player welfare, assuring that all affected teams and relevant football bodies have been duly notified.
