“Guardiola Praises Bobb: Quick and Sharp Like Foden”

 Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has heaped praise on Oscar Bobb, highlighting the Norwegian’s quality and determination to make his mark on the team.

Bobb, who missed much of the 2024/25 campaign due to injury, has returned to full fitness at the start of the Premier League season. Guardiola believes his comeback is a huge boost for City, even drawing comparisons with Phil Foden.

“Watching him today, I realised just how much we missed him last season,” Guardiola said. “He’s sharp, quick, and has qualities similar to Phil.

“I’m delighted he’s back. It may have been a year since he last played a full 90 minutes, but he’s strong, disciplined defensively, and a real threat in tight spaces.

“My only wish is for him to stay healthy and mentally strong. If he does, I have no doubt he’ll be a big help for us in that po

sition.”
